The Nearly-Private Golden Gate Bridge Tour

Nearly-Private San Francisco Tours

The Nearly-Private Golden Gate Bridge Tour  is a two-hour round trip, led and narrated by an SF native, across the most-photographed bridge in the world. It all begins with a pick-up at San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. From there you’ll be shuttled to the famous bridge, passing some notable SF sites on the way:  Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, The Presidio (Home to Lucasfilm, The Walt Disney Family Museum and the Golden Gate National Cemetery), before crossing the Golden Gate Bridge and making a stop at the North Vista Point.

Once you’ve arrived at the scenic north side, you’ll have the opportunity to cross the bridge on foot to the south side, or (after a short photo/restroom break) ride back across to explore the visitor center and coffee shop, before passing the Palace of Fine Arts as we return directly to  Fisherman’s Wharf. This is the perfect trip for those who want to make the most of their morning, or are on a tight schedule.

Complimentary bottled water included.

“The mystical structure, with its perfect amalgam of delicacy and power, exerts an uncanny effect. Its efficiency cannot conceal the artistry. There is heart there, and soul. It is an object to be contemplated for hours.”
– Herb Caen

“To this Gate I give the name of ‘Chrysopylae,’ or Golden Gate, for the same reason that the harbor of Byzantium was called ‘Chrysoceras,’ or Golden Horn.”
– Capt. John C. Fremont
